Becoming a Global Citezen

Since high school, travel has been a big part of how I see the world and myself in it. I had the chance to explore Japan and South Africa early on—two completely different cultures that opened my eyes to new ways of thinking, living, and connecting. More recently, I made my first trip to Europe, visiting Amsterdam, Paris, and London. Each city had its own rhythm, and I took something from all of them—whether it was the art, the street style, or just the feeling of being somewhere unfamiliar. Travel for me isn’t about checking boxes—it’s about perspective, creativity, and finding pieces of home in unexpected places.

My travel adventures and reflections

Some of my favorite memories come from traveling with friends—being in unfamiliar places, figuring things out together, and seeing the world through each other’s eyes. From high school trips to Japan and South Africa to exploring Amsterdam, Paris, and London more recently, each journey meant more because of who I shared it with. Traveling with friends isn’t just about the destinations—it’s about the inside jokes, late-night conversations, getting lost, and building memories that go way deeper than photos. For me, those experiences remind me how important community is—and how creativity and connection grow when you’re out in the world together.
